Studio Paperie is...

...for everyone. It's affordable, so it can fit in your budget. It's convenient. It's for people that like DIY (do-it-yourself) projects. It's for procrastinators. It's for design lovers. It's for people that like variety. It's for kids. It's for moms [and dads, and whos-its and whats-its].

So what is it already?

Studio Paperie is a paper studio. Okay, so that much was obvious. Studio Paperie makes cards, invitations, stationery that you print from home.

Sure, you can send the file to a professional printer, but the whole idea here is convenience and affordability.

Just need one card? Buy it, download it, print it, cut it, sign it. Keep the file saved on your computer to use again later.

See? It's also eco-friendly, because you only print what you need!

All cards will have pre-defined text and graphics, but some will have the ability for you to customize text.

Shut the front door.

I know, isn't that sweet? You'll be able customize the text on invitations, stationery, and some other cards from your own computer.

Need 30 invitations to your child's birthday party? Buy the invite, download it, edit the invite details on the PDF file with Adobe Reader, print it [15 times with 2 invites on a piece of paper], cut them out.

Doesn't that sound fantabulous?!

Studio Paperie will roll out in a few phases. The first phase will be next week, the soft launch. The soft launch will be an Etsy store. While the Studio Paperie website is being developed, the Etsy store will be open to give people an idea of what to expect from Studio Paperie.

Also during this soft launch, the Studio Paperie Press [Studio Paperie's eNewsletter] will be launched. There's a freebie for signing up for Studio Paperie updates, so make sure you come back next week to check it out! [Hint: it's something that has to do with weddings]

During the soft launch, I want your input. I want to know what kind of paper goods you'd like to see in the Studio Paperie Shop. I'll have polls on types of paper goods [invitations, announcements, stationery, cards]; occasions [wedding, baby, thank you, birthday, kids, for her, for him, congratulations]; styles [modern, romantic, grungy, whimsical, minimalist]; and more. I'd like for Studio Paperie to offer a variety, but I want to make sure that variety is stuff you like.

In the second phase, the website will be launched with the full shop. Again, I'll be looking for feedback from you, and what you'd like for me to add to the shop.

The third phase will be adding more designers to the shop. Not only will this provide more design variety [different styles] for you in the shop, but it will provide another entrepreneurial source for other designers.

EEeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!

Okay, I've got to go work on stuff to make sure everything's ready for the soft launch next week.

If there's anything you'd like to see, or if you want more information on becoming a Studio Paperie designer, send an email to kayla[at]studiopaperie[dot]com

So what is Studio Paperie?

I am soooo excited about Studio Paperie. It's like my mind & heart came together & was like "O yea... I want something like this, so surely other people will dig it, too."

And as I thought more and more about what Studio Paperie is and what it could be, my eyes got doe-eyed big. And then my mouth got involved, and I starting sharing all my ideas with my husband. About who Studio Paperie would be for, who all could benefit from it, who all could get involved. And I'm sure I sounded like a little kid talking about their Christmas list, because I got the response from an adult who is only half listening because the kid is talking so fast, only every other word is audible. "Wow, that's great, honey. Yea, that will be cool." [Note the periods resemble the lack of pure excitement from his voice.] Yet, I acted like he understood everything I was saying & was completely stoked about this, because I am so excited I can't stand it!

Are you catching on that I'm excited about this yet?!

When I started this post, I had every intention of telling you what Studio Paperie is, but now I want to keep you in a bit of suspense. [I don't know if I can keep quiet for another 24 hours, but I sure am going to try!] There is going to be so much to this project, and many phases. I'm going to want your feedback and ideas along the way. So stay tuned, because I'll let you in on what my plans are very soon!
